Today you have two readings, one on Hong Kong and one on Taiwan. This will give you a good overview of China's relationship with these two regions.
The Hong Kong reading has two articles in it. The first one is required. The second is optional but is related to the current situation in Hong Kong.
You just need to read and understand the regional statuses of each in preparation for your final write-up.

Today I will have live office hours if you would like more in depth feedback or clarification on your feedback. Below is a link to a Zoom meeting I will leave open from 10am-12pm. Students will be admitted to a waiting room. I will admit you one at a time where you will have 5 minutes to discuss your feedback. When finished, I will admit the next person. You are welcome to come anytime during that time period but the last person will be admitted at 11:55. I will inform anyone I cannot get to that they can email me with questions (which is an option for everyone) or potentially set up another time to talk.
